
Born in Palhoça (Brazil), he studied electric bass and guitar since he was 14 years old. At the age of 19, he enrolled in a degree in Music at UDESC (University of Santa Catarina State) and began his studies in Double Bass with Gustavo Lange Fontes (Brazil). He has now moved to Saarbrücken in Germany. There he studies doublebass at the Hochschule für Musik Saar with Prof. Szymon Marciniak, but also with Prof. Wolfgang Harrer, Christian Braica and Alexis Scharff and a Master in Music Education with Prof. Dr. Michael Dartsch. He also plays in Orchestras, bands and other groups throughout Germany.
Alexandre annually participates in courses and music festivals in Brazil and abroad: Festival de Música de Campos do Jordão (São Paulo), Oficina de Música de Curitiba (Paraná), Festival Gramado In Concert (Rio Grande do Sul), Encuentro Internacional de Jóvenes Músicos de Viña Del Mar (Chile) and Kontrabass Workshop with the Professor Waldemar Schwiertz (Germany) among other training courses.
He worked at the Biguaçu School of Music (guitar, electric bass and double bass teacher), Rafael Bastos School of Music (guitar and electric bass) and in the Sonoritá School of Music (double bass and electric bass) as well as giving private lessons at his residence. He was teacher of Double-bass in the FEMUSC JOVEM (Youth FEMUSC). Which occurs annually in January. Now he is teacher of Double-bass and Electric Bass at the Musikschule der Landeshauptstad Saarbrücken in Germany.
Already presented with groups of varied formations, from rock trios and surf music to Symphonic Orchestras: Orchestra Camerata Florianópolis + Steve Vai in Rock in Rio 2015; Meliza and Pieiro 2014 tour (MPB); Cobalt Blue Band (Progressive Rock); Amy and My Boys Project with Bruna Góes (The Voice Brasil) (Pop); Mallu Magalhães + Tom Custódio da Luz (MPB); Brothers Big Band (Jazz); UDESC Academic Orchestra and Florianópolis Symphony Orchestra.
Besides the experience on stage, Alexandre also has studio experience. He recorded the “Brazilian Music” CD of the UDESC Academic Orchestra and made double bass recordings for the brasilian short films: “O Tempo Que Leva”, “O Segredo da Família Urso”, “Por Apenas um Sorriso” e “Lígia não existe”. And other types of recordings. From 2017, he works with Musical Production, Music Notation and elaboration of Arrangements and Adaptations for the Brothers Big Band Orchestra and String groups (Weddings and Receptions) in Florianópolis/Brazil.
